HALT-C: PHM and fSV Predict Clinical Outcomes

HALT-C trial showed PHM and fSV predict likelihood of adverse outcomes such as ascites, variceal bleeding, hepatic encephalopathy, and liver-related death.  Ishak fibrosis stage dropped from significance in the prediction of outcomes in models that included PHM or fSV.
